Executive from Pustertal resigns as CEO of Marelli’s Electrification division and takes a new leadership role at Intercable Automotive Solutions

Intercable Automotive Solutions, European market leader for interconnection systems/busbars, spin-off of the family-owned Intercable group, and since last November independent business unit of the Signal & Power Solutions segment of the Aptiv Group, has appointed Hannes Prenn as new Managing Director. In this role he will be responsible for the strategic, commercial, operational and financial development of the entire corporate value chain, i.e., sales, supply chain and operations of the Intercable Automotive Solutions Group that currently runs plants in Italy, Slovakia, China and Mexico. He will directly report to Klaus Mutschlechner (BU President) and will operate from the company’s headquarters and technical center in Brunico (IT).
Hannes Prenn has more than 25 years of experience in the automotive industry and particularly in electrification. During his 20+ year career at GKN Automotive he has successfully grown through technical, commercial (Vice President Commercial and Program Mgmt.) and most recently operational (COO/President ePowertrain) areas. Before accepting this new challenge at Intercable Automotive Solutions, Hannes Prenn was CEO of the Electric Powertrain division at Marelli.

In dieser Funktion ist Hr. Prenn verantwortlich für die strategische, kaufmännische, operative und finanzielle Entwicklung der gesamten betrieblichen Wertschöpfungskette, d. h. für den Vertrieb, die Lieferkette und den Betrieb/Produktion der Intercable Automotive Solutions Gruppe mit ihren Standorten in Italien, Slowakei, China und Mexico. Hannes Prenn verfügt über mehr als 25 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Automobilindustrie, speziell in der Elektrifizierung. In seiner über 20jährigen Tätigkeit bei GKN Automotive blickt er auf eine erfolgreiche, bereichsübergreifende Karriere vom technischen und kommerziellen (Vice President Commercial and Programme Management) bis hin zum operativen Bereich (als COO / President ePowertrain) zurück. Zuletzt war er CEO der Division Electric Powertrain bei Marelli, bevor er die neue Herausforderung bei Intercable Automotive Solutions annahm.
